#97 at Mo's Back to School Gift Set

Well, it's my turn to host again this week so I decided that since I will be back to work after Labor Day that I would choose my theme as "Back to School". I guess summer vacation is over. I must say I had a great summer. but all good things must come to an end.

I thought "Harvard" was perfect for this theme. He is such a cutie, and of course in 4 more years I am hoping my son will be "Harvard" bound for law school. But lets let him finish his first 4 years of college first. Anyway, you can find "Harvard" HERE

I made this gift set as my back to school project. I altered this notebook and made a matching corner book mark which you can find at Splitcoast Stampers
HERE and of course since I am still dabbling with Fimo, this little set to go along with it.

A close up of the corner book mark:

I used flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts which you can find HERE and the ribbon, pin, button and charm are from The Ribbon Girl which. They really have so many beautiful charms and of course their gorgeous ribbons. You can find them all HERE I just tied three different ribbons on to the spiral part of the note book alternating the ribbons as I went down the spine. Giving it this full affect.

So I hope I inspired some of you and you play along with this weeks theme "Back to School" and don't forget to visit my Design Teams blogs for even more inspiration. They really are a talented bunch and would love hearing from you.

Well, it's my turn to host again, and since blue is my favorite color, I decided that blue it is for this weeks challenge. This adorable little boy isn't feeling that good and needs his Mummy real bad. He's from Mo's Digital Pencil and you can find him HERE So why not play along, and while your at it, please visit my DT sistah's blogs for some real inspiration. They are such a talented bunch, I know they would love hearing from you. If you look you can find the upcoming challenges making it easier for you to play along. We have so many fun projects and themes coming up. I hope you can play along.

here is the card closed:

Look at that adorable face isn't he perfect for a get well card. As soon as I saw him, I had to have him. I made this for my friends son who wasn't feeling well a few weeks ago. And yes, it did cheer him up. As I said in an earlier post, I revisited Splitcoast Stampers and tried something new. This is called a Diamond Fold Card and you can find the directions and video tutorial HERE. It was one of the easiest cards to fold and make. Well put it this way since I am a visual person, the video helped a lot...lol So here goes my take of the Diamond Fold Card. Hope I can inspire someone. Happy Folding!!!

Here it is open:

#66 Back to School - DT Post for Creative Inspirations.

With back to school for many of us right around the corner, including me (I go back to work soon) getting the kids ready can be over whelming. By this time next week, my son will be moving into his dorm and be living in Manhattan. I am excited as he starts out this new phase of his life. But at the same time sad to see him go since I of course will miss him. My house will be so quite with him gone and my other son practically living with his girlfriends family. So it's only me and hubby left in the house.

So with all that said and done, our theme this week is Back to School. So I decided to make an old fashioned "Book Mark".. Now by Old Fashioned I mean this by two fold, many of us don't read "books" anymore, as Nooks ,i-Pads & Kindles are becoming more and more popular and and book stores are becoming a thing of the past. So I made what I now consider an old fashioned "book mark".
I received this image last year from Copic Creations when they were giving away these book mark images to do just that make a book mark. Of course, I never was able to use it then, but am able to use it now. So here is my take on this weeks challenge Back to School.

The book marks are from Michaels, once again I printed out the image on computer paper, lined it back up with the book mark, then scotch taped the book mark onto the computer paper placed it back in the printer and reprinted it.

DT post #95 for Mo's-Anything But a Card

Once again it is my turn to host this weeks challenge. I love to dabble in all types of paper projects so I thought "Anything But a Card" would be perfect for this weeks challenge. I took out my Big Shot Pro and used this Match Book Die to make this box. It is larger than the one from Stampin Up so it can be used for so many different things. I made this for my son's girlfriend, she loved the shaker card I did a few weeks ago, so not only did I make another shaker but this little box for her in her favorite color as well. I used the image Flower Girl which you can find HERE isn't she sweet and placed chocolate mints inside. Now who doesn't love chocolate, and when she's done with the chocolate, she can put it on her desk and place anything from paper clips to hair clips inside. So here is my take on this weeks challenge Anything But A Card

Here is a picture of the box closed:

DT #94 at Mo's-Easel Card with an Animal

Well, for the month of August I will be the hostess with the mostess over at Mo's. If you look you can find the upcoming challenges making it easier for you to play along. We have so many fun projects and themes coming up. I hope you can play along. So for my first challenge at Mo's I decided to not only make an Easel Card, but I thought it would be fun to include an image that also had an animal in it. Mo has so many cute images that include all types of animals, the hardest part of the challenge is to decide which one to use. In the end, I decided to use "it's Hot" Which you can find HERE we were having a heat wave here in New York when I did this, so it was the perfect choice.. He looks so relaxed hanging out in his sisters kiddie pool... And his huge feet reminded me of my sons huge feet..lol he eventually did grow into them...

Here is my easel card:

and I'm having so much fun making matching boxes. Here is a picture of the box:
